The Spring season typically runs from February-May with midweek practices usually beginning in late February and weekend games generally beginning on March 7. Divisions 9U-19U will participate in Area play, with games located throughout South Orange County. Our 5U-8U divisions will play other teams in Mission Viejo only, similar to the Fall program.
Register Now for Spring Season!
To register, please log into your account at www.AYSO84.org. The number of players in each division for the Spring program will depend on the number of qualified coaches, the number of players that registered, as well as field availability. Please note that placement on a team is not guaranteed, but you will be refunded your registration fees if your player is not able to be placed on a team.
Important Dates & Timeline
- Coaches typically contact players in early February.

- There will be NO GAMES the weekends of March 28–29 or April 4–5.
- Last games are usually the second weekend of May.
- Games can potentially be played on both Saturdays and Sundays during Spring.
Game Locations
5U-8U divisions will practice and play all games within Mission Viejo. 9U-19U divisions will practice in Mission Viejo and play games throughout our South Orange County area. 16U-19U divisions could be played throughout Orange County depending on the number of teams.
Note about 16U/19U Divisions: For G16U, G19U, and B19U, we are unsure if we'll have enough players to form teams, so we are currently only accepting waitlist submissions for those divisions. If we end up getting enough interest from waitlisted players, and have a volunteer coach, we will activate players for those divisions.
9U-14U Divisions ONLY - Season Format
The Spring season is split into two parts: a seeding round and a medal round. The first part consists of seeding games used to rank teams into various flights. This ensures teams are playing against similarly skilled opponents during the medal round. Teams placing in first and second place within their flights may be eligible to receive medals at the end of the season.
Schedule: March (Seeding Games), April - May (Medal Games)
Postseason Tournaments
Eligible teams have the opportunity to play in various postseason tournaments. These tournaments are voluntary and are at an additional cost to each team. Note that only teams who have completed the required number of referee points during the Spring season are eligible for any postseason tournament.
