Player Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy applies to all registration cancellations requested for the Fall and Spring soccer seasons in AYSO Region 84.

General Policy & Fees

Refunds must be requested in writing and submitted to the Regional Registrar. The date the request is received determines the refund amount.

Please note that the National AYSO Membership Fee (which is typically $25) is non-refundable by Region 84. This fee is paid directly to the National Office for insurance coverage and administrative services.

Fall Season Refund Schedule (Example)

The following is a typical refund schedule for the Fall season, based on when the written request is received:

• Full Refund (minus National Fee): If requested before the registration deadline (e.g., June 30th).
• Partial Refund (50% of Registration Fee): If requested after the registration deadline but before teams are formed/uniforms are ordered (e.g., July 1st - July 15th).
• No Refund: If requested after teams are formed, uniforms are ordered, or once the season's first practice is held (typically after July 15th).

Spring Season Policy

The Spring Season operates under a shortened timeline, and a strict refund policy is enforced due to field permits and uniform orders being finalized much earlier.

• Full Refund (minus National Fee): If requested before the registration deadline (typically mid-December).
• No Refund: If requested after the registration deadline.

Exceptions

Exceptions to the "No Refund" policy may be considered only for the following:

• Medical reason confirmed by a doctor's note that prevents the child from playing.
• Family moving out of the Region 84 service area before the season begins.

All exceptions must be approved by the Regional Commissioner and the Regional Board.
