Program Descriptions
In AYSO Region 84 all games are played on the best fields in South Orange
County. In addition all players play a minmum of three quarters of a game. This
gives every player a chance to improve without the threat of being pulled out of

The U-5 program allows players to discover the game for themselves, while also
giving the parents a foundation to build and grow into future AYSO coaches,
referees, and administrators. The objective of the AYSO U-5 program is to
provide young players and their parents with a "pressure free" introduction to
the game of soccer. This is not to be considered a coaching program but is
designed to expose kids to soccer. The two goals of this program are to allow
the players to enjoy the activities and to let the game be the teacher. There is no post
season at this age level; however, each player receives a participation trophy at the end
of the season. The
program is run with the assistance of
UK International.

The game is played on a small field in a 3 vs. 3 format with no goal keeper. The
team coaches act as the referee to keep the game safe and fun. Parents are
encouraged to cheer and not coach; let the game be the coach. |

The teams are formed with the intent of allowing the children to play with their
friends and other children from their school. Please place special requests on
the registration form. We try very hard to meet all requests. |
