9U Programs

The 9U program is developed to continue player development in a fun yet competitive environment. After the completion of the regular season, a post season tournament is played with the top two teams receiving trophies.

Item Description
Season Length The regular season runs from September through October, followed by a post-season which completes in our Region by the middle of November.
Time Commitment 1-2 weekly 90-minute practices (depending on coach's schedule) and weekly Saturday games, with a few non-standing league games on Sundays. Each game consists of two 25-minute halves.
Equipment Each player will be given a uniform, consisting of a jersey, shorts and socks.
* Players must provide soccer cleats, shin guards, and a Size 4 soccer ball.
Volunteer Requirements All volunteers must be registered AYSO Volunteers.
Coaches and Referees must also be Safe Haven certified, which includes Safe Sport, Live Scan fingerprinting, Concussion Awareness, and Cardiac Arrest Awareness.

Referee Certification Regional Referee
Game Format 7 v 7, under a modified FIFA rule system
Two 25-minute halves, with a quarter break halfway through each half
Substitutions are done at each quarter break
Each player is required to play at least 75% of each game (3 of 4 quarters)
Team Formation Teams are formed via a draft. Player ratings are provided to all coaches prior to the draft.
Maximum 10 players per team roster.
